Position Overview
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the revenue organization by translating technical capabilities into clear business value for customers. This role partners closely with Sales, Channel Partners, and the Sr. Sales Engineerto design, present, and support technical solutions that help customers understand how our platform solves real operational challenges.
The Sales Engineer is responsible for assisting in solution design, technical demonstrations, deployment preparation, and technical validation during the sales cycle. This role ensures prospects and partners clearly understand how the solution integrates with their existing infrastructure while supporting successful deal progression and customer adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support
  • Partner with Account Executives, Channel Managers, and leadership to support customer-facing sales opportunities.
  • Assist in delivering technical presentations, demos, and product walkthroughs to prospects and partners.
  • Translate customer business requirements into technical solution recommendations.
  • Support proof-of-concept (POC) deployments and technical validation during the evaluation process.
  • Participate in discovery calls to identify customer operational challenges and technical requirements.

Solution Architecture
  • Work under the direction of the Sr. Sales Engineer to design scalable and effective customer solutions.
  • Assist in determining hardware, infrastructure, and system requirements for deployments.
  • Document technical requirements and proposed solution architectures.
  • Help ensure solutions align with product capabilities, deployment standards, and operational feasibility.

Technical Demonstrations
  • Deliver and support live product demonstrations and solution walkthroughs.
  • Assist in building demo environments and presentation materials that clearly communicate product capabilities.
  • Support field demonstrations and on-site technical validation when required.

Deployment Readiness
  • Coordinate with internal Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful deployment preparation.
  • Help validate camera placement, hardware configuration, network requirements, and system readiness.
  • Provide technical documentation and guidance to support customer onboarding.

Partner and Channel Enablement
  • Support channel partners and resellers with technical enablement and product education.
  • Assist in training partners on solution capabilities, deployment requirements, and best practices.

Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Sr. Sales Engineer to escalate technical challenges and ensure alignment with solution strategy.
  • Provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams based on customer and field insights.
  • Maintain documentation of customer requirements, deployment standards, and technical learnings.

Qualifications
Required Experience
  • 2-5 years experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales roles.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market sales environments.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for customers.

Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with:
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Cloud environments (AWS preferred)
    • IP camera systems and video infrastructure (preferred)
    • Hardware and edge computing environments (NUC or similar systems preferred)
  • Experience with technical product demonstrations and POC support.

Professional Skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
