Job description

The Project Manager position is a direct-hire position working for HGA at our office in Ruston or Shreveport, LA. Working from another HGA office will be considered for highly qualified candidates.
Responsible for the administrative and technical management as necessary over more than one major function, section, or department on projects in engineering and/or construction ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. Provides consultation and expert advice to management.
PROJECT MANAGER POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Function as the main point of contact between HGA and our clients.
• Lead the development of proposals, including communication with clients on proposal responses and requests for information, design requirements, project schedule, and costs.
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
• Lead the planning and implementation of projects
• Define project tasks and resource requirements, and develop full scale project plans
• Lead internal and client project meetings.
• Manage project budget; manage and track project resource allocation and project timelines
• Provide direction and support to project team
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
• Conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Elicits cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
PROJECT MANAGER REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering consulting or capital project execution experience required.
• Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry and/or Specialty Chemicals is a plus. Oil & Gas, Wood Products, Refinery, Specialty Chemicals, Renewables, Manufacturing, Material Handling industries will also be considered.
• Experience with phase gate project execution for capital projects (IE FEL0/1/2/3 and DDE) desired.
• PMP certification and/or Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred.
• Must be willing to work a hybrid schedule including working from an HGA office at least two days each week, preferably 3-4 days.
• Located within daily commuting distance of Ruston or Shreveport, LA, or another HGA office.
