Job description

Position: Task Project Managerย 

Location: 7383 N State Highway 95 Columbia, AL 36319

Duration: 2 Years

Client: Southern Nuclear

The Task Project Manager is responsible for overseeing projects and discrete task packages related to theย replacement of large power transformersย within aย nuclear facility environment. This role ensures all activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance withย regulatory, quality, and project requirements. The Task PM serves as the primary coordination point across engineering, operations, maintenance, vendors, and regulatory stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage task-level and project-level activities associated withย large power transformer replacement
  • Develop, track, and maintainย project schedules, milestones, and task plans
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensureย resource availability and sequencing
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost objectives
  • Ensure strict adherence toย nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and site procedures
  • Interface with engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, and quality organizations
  • Support outage planning, execution coordination, and post-installation closeout activities
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and status updates for leadership
  • Enforce compliance withย safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsย throughout execution

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experienceย managing projects or task-level work in theย nuclear industry
  • Demonstrated experience managingย large power transformer replacement projects
