Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our security business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:
Technical Execution & Project Management
  • Responsibilities focused on planning, coordinating, and executing projects according to technical standards and operational goals.
  • Responsible for all work to be performed according to Pavion standards and quality installation techniques as per the Pavion "General Installation and Craftsmanship Standards and Practices" policy.
  • Plans and schedules engineering, installation, and subcontracting activities on projects or service-installed jobs.
  • Maintains current job plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Prepares, implements, and manages project installation plan and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate project information within Pavion systematic platforms.
  • Determines necessary changes in design, contract price, installation plan, or other activity and implements same.
  • Generate change orders as needed in a timely manner.
  • Identifies, monitors, and mitigates project risks and issues to maintain scope, schedule, and budget integrity.
  • Applies strong problem-solving skills to resolve day-to-day challenges, ensuring projects remain on track and aligned with goals.
  • Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades.
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings.
  • Maintains all records of job status, changes, material flow, and other.
  • Supervises the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use.
  • Work with engineering department on design and drafting phases of jobs.
  • Responsible for maintaining backlog with accurate estimates, estimated closed dates and comments.

Client Relations & Team Communication
  • Emphasizes client satisfaction, internal coordination, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain communications with clients to include monitoring satisfaction, resolving complaints, resolving collection issues, and other.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner to resolve Pavion, client, or other inquiries and/or requests.
  • Engages stakeholders through regular updates, proactive communication, and expectation management to ensure project alignment and transparency.
  • Keeps self, customer, superiors, and subordinates informed of project progress.
  • Provides for Welcome Calls, Site Readiness, and job scheduling, either directly or through coordination with a Project Coordinator.
  • Represent Pavion in a business-like professional manner in both conduct and appearance to maximize client satisfaction.
  • Work proactively and in a positive manner with all co-workers.
  • Support diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor and update departmental documentation as needed, including vendor invoices, vendor credits, timecards, expense reports, personnel action memos, PTO and UTO schedules, customer invoicing requests, and schedules of values.
  • Ability to travel.

Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance
  • Responsibilities centered around compliance with safety policies, maintaining quality standards, and protecting assets.
  • Work in compliance with Pavion's policies and procedures including safety; with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
  • Participates and may deliver safety training to direct reports.
  • Responsible for training and adhering to all Pavion Safety Policies.
  • Establish and maintain procedures and standards for quality installations and service.
  • Selects, contracts, and monitors the performance and quality of contract labor.
  • Monitor the performance and quality of the field labor.
  • Maintain professional licensing as required by State and Local jurisdiction if applicable.
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Maintain and protect assigned Pavion assets.
  • Actively identifies and manages risks to ensure compliance, safety, and project success.
  • Report on and monitor installations for on-time and on-budget performance.

Leadership, Training & Reporting
  • Covers mentorship, performance monitoring, internal reporting, and team development.
  • Leads and coordinates the work of a single project team, clearly assigns tasks, setting priorities, and maintaining team motivation and engagement.
  • Mentor subordinates to foster professional growth of the project team.
  • Recommend appropriate staffing levels for project teams and adjust in accordance with Pavion policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to direct reports and/or other project team and key stakeholders -virtual or remote-in order to maintain current skills around technology.
  • Follows established project management methodologies and contributes to process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
  • Review processes and modify to improve efficiencies when possible.
  • Provide reports to senior management to include but not limited to: revenue forecasting and staff performance.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience as a Project Manager with 5+ years' industry experience
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Holds or is actively pursuing a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Microsoft Project, among others
  • Excellent oral, written communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Available to work outside of, or in addition to, normal businesses hours when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, and contribute to the overall success of Pavion (or the organization)
  • Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and appropriate appearance in line with company standards
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of company and customer information
  • Adherence to company policies, procedures, and direction provided by management
  • Ability to accurately complete required project documentation, labeling, and administrative tasks
  • Proficiency in submitting timekeeping and project-related reporting information in a timely and accurate manner

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, personnel management, and project management or related field preferred

Pay Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 annually. This position is bonus eligible. The starting salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and internal equity. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
