Duties: The Americas IMO has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Integration Management Office to support an upcoming integration! The Project Manager will manage and lead projects, and direct assigned stakeholder teams to achieve the desired business objectives, on-time and within budget.
The successful candidate will play a hands-on key role in remotely managing a global cross-functional team of up to +20 people cross functionally. Experience in standing-up a global project, remotely managing the team and the completion of their deliverables is a must. The role and needs of the team will be fast moving, and dynamic, and participation across multiple time zones will be essential in various phases of the project. The successful candidate needs to have flexibility and agility to meet the demands and requirements of the project and its objectives. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to manage time for multiple projects.
Strong stakeholder management skills at a senior level internally and external are a requirement as is a background in managing significant change and transformation.
Responsibilities
Project/Program Delivery
Create and manage a project plan, leading the team responsible for its delivery
Identify dependencies, risks, and issues to meet deadlines
Use project management methodologies, tools and techniques
Is entrepreneurial - will spot risks and jump in to help and drive
Execute integration plans with a balance on speed, cost, quality, and level of disruption to the business and a focus on employee / customer satisfaction.
Drive Integration Project Plans to ensure we deliver the highest level of Customer Experience throughout the integration process.
System and Process Design
Develop visio process flows during these cross-functional sessions and translate gaps into system requirements or process changes and lead the team to implement these (strong preference is for the candidate to have demonstrated experience to blueprint processes and have directly managed their enablement, including requirement gathering, user-acceptance testing, and change management)
Is able to thoroughly design and manage a team that will current state processes and close all action items with its enablement
Stakeholder Management
Manage and align expectations across global stakeholders and leaders
Organize, and facilitate regular checkpoints to sponsor and key leaders on detailed analyses, prioritized recommendations and findings in a range of different formats
Escalate to resolve complex stakeholder issues
Planning
Be able to remove ambiguity from a very complex project, and break it down to simple tasks for the project team to understand and execute
Ensures planning standards are reviewed and improved at regular intervals
Skills:
People Management
Provides management and leadership across the team to ensure the team is executing
Is able to delegate work and tasks to others
Manage contractors, temporary assigned resources as required
Risk / Issue Management
Is able to catalogue risks and issues and form teams to quickly disposition, accepting that these may turn into several week sprints
Challenges the team to ensure lateral thinking and information is fully analysed to achieve resolution
Where necessary may refer and escalate outside of the immediate team
Excellent program and project management skills, particularly of remote teams
Solid process and system design capabilities; strong proficiency in Visio is a must have
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects is critical to the role
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Experience working for a Global organization across multiple functions & regions
