Job description

Description:

Position Title: PMO Manager

Location: Hybrid or Remote

Reports To: VP of FSS Delivery

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a decisive PMO leader who can bring consistency, accountability, and structure to an established but inconsistent delivery organization. This role leads Project Delivery team of Program Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators supporting multi-site retail deployments, structured cabling, and technical installations nationwide. You will shape how projects are executed while actively coaching performance, resolving escalations, and reinforcing standards. This is a key management seat responsible for driving execution discipline and elevating performance across the Project Delivery team.

Top 5 Responsibilities

+ Leadership, Management, and Accountability

+ Project Team Performance

+ Standardized Project Execution

+ Management of High Level Escalations

+ Analysis of and Action on Key Delivery Metrics

+ PMO Accountability and Growth

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage a layered project team including Program Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators. Set clear expectations and address performance gaps directly.

Ensure compliance and standardize execution processes across Quickbase, SharePoint, and HubSpot. Reinforce timeline discipline, documentation accuracy, and consistent customer communication.

Oversee portfolio health across field deployments and technical installations. Ensure milestones are maintained and breakdowns are addressed early before they impact margin.

Manage escalations for complex customer and internal delivery issues. Provide calm, structured leadership that protects relationships while reinforcing accountability internally.

Analyze project performance metrics including process compliance, milestone adherence, task aging, escalation trends, and documentation compliance. Turn data into action plans that improve execution consistency.

Develop leaders within the PMO who anticipate problems, communicate clearly and take ownership of outcomes.

About the Environment

The PMO structure exists. The tools exist. The opportunity is in tightening execution and ensuring standards are followed consistently.

When timelines slip, margin erodes. When documentation gaps appear, customers lose confidence. This role protects both by reinforcing predictable execution.

Travel is minimal, typically once or twice per year. After-hours involvement is rare and escalation-based only.

Requirements:

What You Bring

+ 7+ years in project management, with at least 3 years leading Project Managers and/or Program Managers

+ Experience in customer-facing delivery environments

+ Strong understanding of field deployments, structured cabling, or multi-site technical rollouts

+ Experience building or standardizing PMO processes

+ Strong analytical capabilities to support data-driven decision making

+ Comfort working inside project systems such as Quickbase, SharePoint, and CRM platforms

+ Confidence holding experienced professionals accountable

Nice to Have

Experience supporting national retail rollouts, infrastructure deployments, or field service organizations is helpful. Exposure to PMO transformation or scaling delivery teams will accelerate impact. Familiarity with financial performance conversations and margin signals at the Program Manager level is beneficial but not required. PMP certification is lightly preferred.

Who Shouldn’t Apply

This role is not for someone who prefers “reporting results” over influencing behavior. It is not for someone uncomfortable having direct performance conversations or enforcing standards consistently. If you hesitate during escalations or avoid accountability discussions, this seat will feel heavy.

Why This Role Matters

This position directly influences execution consistency, delivery predictability, and team maturity across the organization. Strong leadership here strengthens customer trust, protects profitability, and raises the bar for the entire Delivery team.

Our Benefits

+ Competitive compensation

+ Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K

+ Paid time off and holidays
