Job Summary:Under the direction of the Head of the Project Management Office (PMO),this position oversees a team of Project Managers (PMs) that will drive high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration.As a manager, he/she will ensure consistency and transparency with all PMO driven initiatives at the bank.Key functions of this role will be to help direct the strategy and direction of the PM Office through executive engagement, assisting in annual budget reviews and decisions, helping organize team events and trainings, and driving key process controls.This individual may also manage multiple and often simultaneous initiatives themselves from discovery through project completion while adhering to the initiative process flow and procedural guidelines defined by the company.They must possess solid leadership and interpersonal skills, as managing key resources and team members is critical to successful delivery; organizational skills to ensure planning and management of projects according to project scope, resource allocation, budget management, and timelines; and business knowledge to guide solutions that have a positive ROI and that are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with the bank's long?term strategic goals. Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and managing several critical initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with senior executives across Retail, Commercial, Payments, Risk, and Compliance to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources.?
  • Lead the planning and execution of complex, multi?system delivery projects.?
  • Oversee budgets, timelines, vendor relationships, and cross?functional dependencies.?
  • Manage and mentor a team of project managers.
  • Build a high?performing culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.?
  • Partner with Risk, Audit, and Compliance teams to ensure system changes meet regulatory expectations and withstand audit scrutiny.?
  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders to strategically plan and execute on deliverables.
  • Responsible for managing mission critical, complex projects to deliver results within the authorized budget on the approved time schedule.
  • Oversee all project stages;define project scope, objectives, requirements, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure project scope and decisions tie the business line strategy to the Bank's overall strategic plan.
  • Lead sponsors, business line leaders and project leads through all phases of project management while ensuring proper documentation standards.
  • Direct the assembly of project team(s), assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Manages multiple cross-functional team projects to comply with cost, schedule and performance using established processes to meet project commitments.
  • Manage all cross-functional aspects of the project to create the defined deliverables within the authorized budget on the approved time schedule.
  • Oversee the work with sponsors and project leaders to develop business justification, cost estimates, project plans, and schedules. Prepares and manages project budgets.Maintains and drives action items for the projects to ensure completion by the various teams' members.
  • Manage and implement project changes/interventions to achieve completion; act as a liaison to expedite projects or problem resolution Delegate and manage the tasks of the other functional core team members. Correct project resource issues such as performance problems or availability problems.
  • Provide leadership to clear barriers to team progress, promote the good of the company, resolve conflicts within the team and outside the team and ensure the project goals and staff assignments are realistic and achievable.
  • Coordinates risk mitigation actions to ensure project plans are protected and deliverables achieved on time and on budget.
  • Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Apply the appropriate management techniques given project specific needs, risks and differences in core team member skill levels.
  • Communicate regularly with Business line managers, Project Management Office Members, Executive Sponsor and other project stakeholders to appraise all regarding status of the project, issues impeding progress, earned value and recovery plans for off-track items/tasks.
  • Provide management assistance in developing sound project strategy; perform system and workflow analysis to improve productivity and to alleviate bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Needham Bank's Project Management methodology.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned.
