Job Description:
Position Overview
Frederick Primary Care Associates (FPCA) is expanding its Behavioral Health Department and is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This collaborative position is essential for providing high-quality psychiatric and behavioral health services to the community within a supportive outpatient setting, ensuring continuity of patient care alongside the Practice Lead.
Schedule & Balance
  • Full-Time: 4-day work week, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Part-Time: 2 or 3 days per week, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Admin Time: Noon lunch hour is designated as admin time to help you stay caught up.
  • No Call: Absolutely no evening or weekend call responsibilities.
  • Single Location: Based entirely out of our Ridgefield Drive office in Frederick, MD.
The Opportunity (Scope of Practice)
  • Manageable Volume: Average of 8 to 16 patients per day, ensuring you have the time to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Generous Appointment Times: 1 hour allotted for new patient evaluations; 30 minutes allotted for routine follow-ups.
  • Patient Demographic: Open to treating patients across the community.
  • Robust Support: Dedicated Medical Assistants handle clinical intake, allowing you to focus entirely on psychiatric medication management and care.
Qualifications
  • Experience Level: Requires PMHNP experience. No new grads at this time.
  • Credentials: Board Certified PMHNP with valid licensure (or eligibility) in Maryland.
  • Language: Fluent in English.
