PMHNP / Psychiatrist Prescriber (1099).

Opportunity Overview:
Anchor Within Counseling is seeking a qualified, licensed Psychiatric Provider (Psychiatrist MD/DO or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PMHNP) to partner with our clinical team under an independent contractor agreement.

Client Demographics & Service Area:
We serve clients in Portland, OR for in-person care, and virtually serve all of Oregon. Common clinical presentations include complex trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, neurodevelopmental needs, and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.

Scope of Partnership:
This opportunity is designed for a psychiatric prescriber or group practice to deliver diagnostic evaluations and medication management to our client population with integrated documentation into our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluations and ongoing medication management for referred clients.
  • Complete all clinical notes, treatment plans, prescriptions, and CPT billing codes directly within the company’s EHR system and within 72 hours of service delivery.
  • Capture rendered services in accordance with state billing standards.
  • Utilize care coordination as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice as an MD, DO, or PMHNP in the state of Oregon.
  • Active DEA registration with full prescriptive authority in Oregon.
  • Active Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Medicaid provider ID, or immediate eligibility for credentialing with OHA.
  • Maintenance of professional liability insurance malpractice insurance with minimum coverage limits of $1M/$3M.
  • Willingness to execute charting, prescribing, and CPT code billing selection directly in our company’s EHR.

CULTURALLY-SPECIFIC SKILLS HIGHLY DESIRED:
  • Ability to serve Black, African, Latino, Hispanic, Native, and/or Indigenous populations from a racially informed lens.
  • Ability to serve clients who ascribe to religious beliefs from a protective factors lens.

CONTRACT STRUCTURE & AUTONOMY:
  • Relationship: This is a professional services contract under the Independent Contractor 1099 designation, not a W-2 employment position.
  • Referral Autonomy & Right of Refusal: As an independent contractor, you retain full clinical autonomy to review and decline all client referrals.
  • Schedule & Volume: Flexible hours, managed based on your stated availability.
  • Compensation Structure: Anchor Within Counseling offers a cost-share model based on actual reimbursements received for billed services.
