Job description

REPORTS TO: Surgical Services Director
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Non-exempt, Hourly $19.57- $22.00
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in maintaining a healthy, clean, and safe environment for staff and patients.
- Gather, move, assemble, disassemble, and clean operating room equipment, tables, specialty equipment, and positioning devices.
- Assure that needed equipment is available and in good working order prior to use.
- Assist in setup and teardown of the operating rooms before and after cases.
- Participate in timely and efficient operating room turnover.
- Clean and disinfect operating room and equipment.
- Participate in staff meetings and in-services as requested.
- Participate in educational opportunities as they arise.
- Communicate all pertinent information, including problems, concerns, or ideas, to the assigned nurse, utilizing proper reporting lines, in a timely and effective manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS certification required within three (3) months of hire or transfer
- Previous experience within a surgical setting preferred.
