Job description

The Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) LLC, a rapidly growing management consulting firm, is seeking a Program Operations Specialist for an upcoming opportunity for National Center for Health Statistics (CDC).
 
MSG provides consulting services across the federal government in the areas of training and technical assistance, grants management, research and evaluation, marketing and communications, program management, and information technology. Our federal clients include the U.S. Departments of Labor, Education, Health and Human Services, Agriculture, Justice, and Homeland Security.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serving as Deputy PM, backing up the PM/Tech Lead for day-to-day coordination, status reporting, risk/issue tracking, and COR communications. 
  • Providing light project management support (i.e. Meeting facilitation, schedule updates, action item follow-up, documentation control). 
  • Performing operations and basic systems support for CCQDER tools (account requests, ticket triage, coordination with IT/helpdesk, UAT coordination). 
  • Acting as a swing resource who can pick up structured pieces of testing, data QC, or content updates under direction from the Software/Data specialists. 
  • Owning remuneration and advertisement payment workflows (Tasks 5–6), including tracking incentives, coordinating with finance, and maintaining audit ready documentation.​ 
 
Preferred Experience: 
  • Prior experience as Project Coordinator / Deputy PM on federal IT or research programs. 
  • Familiarity with LCNC or workflow tools (Appian, ServiceNow, Jira) to manage tasks, approvals, and simple process automations. 
  • Exposure to UAT / acceptance testing, including executing test scripts, logging defects, and supporting releases. 
  • Comfort producing operational and financial dashboards (Excel/Power BI) for leadership. 
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years in program operations / project coordination on Federal gov programs
