Position Overview

The Plumbing Engineer is responsible for designing, coordinating, and supporting plumbing systems for residential, multifamily, and commercial construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, field teams, and builders to ensure plumbing systems are designed efficiently, installed correctly, and meet all applicable codes and project specifications.

The Plumbing Engineer supports projects from design through construction, helping deliver cost-effective mechanical solutions while maintaining quality, safety, and performance standards. The role contributes to projects that integrate plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems, providing coordinated mechanical solutions for builders.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop plumbing system layouts for residential, multifamily, and commercial construction projects.

  • Prepare and review plumbing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Coordinate plumbing system design with HVAC, fire protection, and other building systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure designs are constructible and efficient.

  • Support estimating and preconstruction teams with plumbing system design input and material requirements.

  • Review project plans to ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Assist with value engineering efforts to optimize system performance and reduce project costs.

  • Provide technical support to field teams during installation and construction.

  • Coordinate with builders, architects, and engineers throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications
