Our Plumbing Assistant inspects company-provided calls for servicing preexistingequipment and installation of new. This is manual work assisting a Plumbing Technician in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing for both residential and commercial. Work involves performance of skilled plumbing tasks in maintaining, repairing, and servicing fixtures and equipment. Routine maintenance, service, and repair work are performed independently unless a helper is needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to a customer's home on a pre-set appointment.
  • Build rapport with homeowners and professionally represent the Company.
  • Exhibit clear communication skills during homeowner interactions.
  • Must be available to work at 7am, and work until manager/dispatcher dismisses you for the day.
  • Some weekend and evenings being on call is required.
  • Installing our products and services under the supervision of trained professionals
  • Installation, Maintenance, and repair of plumbing for both residential/commercial
  • Weekly meeting at the shop.
  • Be a team player who will do whatever it takes to win for you, your team and the organization
  • Ability to listen well and follow instructions closely
  • Ability to grind it out every day knowing that hard work is rewarded
  • It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.

Qualifications

  • Residential plumbing service and installation experience for at least 1 year
  • Loads and delivering materials to work site
  • Performs set up and clean up tasks at the work site
  • Strong finger and manual dexterity for handling pipes and plumbing fixtures
  • Detail-oriented, organized and proficient
  • Willing to work in all types of weather
  • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
  • Must have basic tools
  • Valid Driver's license and good driving record
  • Enters crawl spaces and other confined areas
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Working Conditions

  • Lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods of time and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
  • Pushing, pulling, or carrying objects; bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Requires entry into some tight spaces.
