The Public Works Department is searching for a skilled Building Maintenance Technician, with expert-level plumbing skills, to help shape the future of our growing Town. From new parks and facilities, to everyday improvements across all departments, you’ll take on hands-on challenges that make a visible difference. Examples of Duties:

  • Performing building preventive and reactive maintenance and repair work; responding to requests for building repair and maintenance; maintaining records.
  • Consults with Facilities Supervisor concerning work assignments.
  • Investigate and repair above and inground plumbing including irrigation.
  • Performs maintenance and repair work on plumbing.
  • Assist others in repairs in other trades such as Electrical, HVACR, and Carpentry.
  • Maintains logs, reports and job status records; utilizes an online computerized maintenance management system.
  • Determines tool and material requirements for assigned work.
  • Ensures that assigned work is accomplished in accordance with procedures.
  • Assists other departments with special events, concerts, etc.
  • Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing fixtures in all buildings.
  • Does some janitorial duties when required; helps to monitor janitorial contractor.
  • Performs related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Professional experience in commercial building maintenance and plumbing systems is required.
  • A driver's license and good driving record are required.
  • Understand and demonstrate extensive knowledge of commercial buildings to ensure effective operations and maintenance.
