Job description

As the Plumbing Foreman, you will be involved with managing commercial construction projects and assists with project needs including material management, personnel, schedules and communication with project management team, customers and building officials.
Compensation aspects of the role are dependent upon knowledge, skills and experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of project schedule/milestones, submittals, contract documents (addenda, specifications, drawings) and in-house shop drawings.
  • Ability to coordinate with other trades to complete plumbing/piping installations within project scope and schedule.
  • Experience managing project crews to install multiple types of plumbing systems for domestic, drainage and sanitation systems.
  • Ability to manage commercial plumbing construction projects.
  • Accountable for the safe performance of personnel and equipment.
  • Understanding / complies with the company tool policy and can pass these values to less experienced employees.
  • Involved with completing required electronic documentations including daily reports, next week plans, accident reports, disciplinary reports, etc.
  • Able to install plumbing systems and relatable materials with the use of hand tools and power tools, as needed.
  • Able to work from ladders, manlifts and other equipment at various heights.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects, as assigned.

Education, Training, Licenses and/or Certifications

  • 3 years of experience as a plumbing foreman on commercial construction projects preferred.
  • 3 years of experience leading teams of 1 - 5 direct reports preferred.
  • Current / valid journeyman license preferred.
  • Current / valid master license preferred.
  • OSHA 30 hour, preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete company specific welding, soldering and/or brazing test for employment.
  • Requires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language skills.
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend blueprints and design documents.
  • Strong ability to perform take-off of materials from design documents.
  • Capable of creating work plan for subordinates and self
  • Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable / coachable attitude.
  • Initiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and customer services skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Complies and promotes company Safety Policy
  • Ability to lead others including teaching and coaching.
  • Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materials
  • Ability to pass a full background screening and drug screening.
  • Ability to pass MVR check (if applicable) or must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a physical ability test
  • Ability to travel, as needed, for projects.
