Job description

Position: Maintenance Technician

Status: Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week

Days: Monday – Friday

Location: Green Bay

Pfefferle Management is the largest commercial property management provider in Wisconsin. We manage more than two hundred commercial properties and eighty-five residential complexes throughout the state, with over 15 million square feet of real estate under our care and thousands of tenants and owners served.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the maintenance of commercial and residential properties some duties include carpeting, painting, drywall repairing, plumbing, repairing building fixtures, and electrical repairing as well as preventive maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

Carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical repairs to guarantee the facility is proper and safe maintained.

Perform routine preventative maintenance.

Operate heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and related systems.

Maintain a clean working environment.

Follows all safety procedures (monthly safety meetings).

Work within the expense limits established for the facility.

Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.

Responsible for monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors for quality of workmanship and approval of finished products.

Coordinate state required building life safety inspections and tests.

Coordinate special projects as directed by the department or property manager.

Carry, a company that provides cell phones as required for on-call maintenance.

Complete grounds work as directed which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.

Responsible to let the Department or Property Manager know of any unusual occurrence and/or property damage that may have taken place or that may occur.

Complete payroll

Maintain a professional courteous manner with all tenants, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.

Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines.

Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.

Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Special projects and other responsibilities per skill set determined as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

2 + Years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems or features

Proper phone etiquette

Customer service

Communication with team members

Technical Requirements:

Ability to use a tablet, smartphone, and computer.

Ability to text, email and use payroll.

Ability to operate a vehicle in a safe manner.

Be proficient with the tools of the jobs.

Knowledgeable of how to safely manage tools and equipment when working with electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for an extended period.

Ability to use ladders.

Ability to crouch and work overhead.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Background Check Requirements:

Must pass background criminal check.

Must have a clean driving record.
