Job description

Description:

We are seeking a PLM Functional Consultant with strong testing and quality assurance capabilities to support enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) implementations. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge business needs with system capabilities while ensuring solutions are thoroughly validated through structured testing practices.

You will play a key role across the delivery lifecycle—driving requirements, supporting system design, and leading testing efforts to ensure successful deployment of PLM solutions in complex enterprise environments.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions to document current-state and future-state business processes
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to align requirements with PLM capabilities
  • Support comprehensive testing efforts across enterprise IT implementations, including:
    • Functional and non-functional testing
    • Integration and end-to-end validation
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and execution
  • Develop and maintain test strategies, test cases, and traceability matrices linking requirements to validation
  • Execute test scenarios, document defects, and drive resolution with delivery teams
  • Contribute to the design and review of automated testing solutions and scripts
  • Support solution validation activities such as CRP sessions, demos, and stakeholder walkthroughs
  • Assist with data validation and migration testing to ensure data integrity
  • Track and report on quality metrics, risks, and test outcomes
  • Create user documentation, training materials, and support end-user readiness
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
  • Partner with Product Owners, developers, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and delivery success
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in PLM implementations
  • Direct experience supporting system implementations with a strong emphasis on testing and validation activities
  • Experience with PLM platforms (Aras Innovator preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise testing practices, including QA and UAT execution
  • Ability to develop high-quality documentation, including requirements, process flows, and test artifacts
  • Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, and enterprise architecture concepts
  • Working knowledge of databases and data validation techniques
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), especially Agile delivery models
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., TypeScript-based or similar solutions)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across technical and business audiences

Preferred Experience

  • Hands-on experience with Aras Innovator or similar modern PLM platforms
  • Experience implementing or supporting automated testing solutions in enterprise environments
  • Exposure to cloud and SaaS-based enterprise systems (e.g., Azure environments)
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Experience with AI-assisted tools for requirements analysis, testing, or productivity
  • Background in manufacturing, retail, or product development environments
