Job Description:
PROLIM is seeking a Configuration Analyst 2 to support our client, Northrop Grumman, within the Configuration and Data Management (CDM) group at the Deployables Operating Unit. This position will support essential configuration management functions and will be based onsite in Oxnard, California.
The ideal candidate will have experience in configuration management, document control, product lifecycle management, engineering documentation, BOM management, and change control processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, including engineering drawings, production specifications, schedules, and contract modifications.
  • Review contracts and determine documentation requirements for each phase of a project.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes to support configuration management activities.
  • Analyze proposed product design changes and determine their impact on overall product and system configuration.
  • Coordinate modification records to maintain effective management control.
  • Establish and process change orders and prepare documentation for change authorization.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data.
  • Coordinate engineering changes with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and Engineering Data Control teams.
  • Maintain accurate configuration records, baselines, and product data.
  • Support change management activities such as ECR, ECO, CR, and CI processes.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and related technical documentation.
  • Prepare reports and maintain configuration documentation using Microsoft Office tools.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in configuration management, document control, product lifecycle management, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) principles and practices, including:
  • Configuration identification
  • Baseline management
  • Change control
  • Configuration status accounting
  • Configuration audits
  • Experience supporting or administering change management processes such as ECR/ECO/CR/CI or similar.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one PLM/Configuration Management system, such as Teamcenter, Windchill, PTC, ENOVIA, Agile PLM, or similar.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling engineering and product data.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple change packages, priorities, and deadlines.
