Job description

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

As a CNC Mill Machinist, you may be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Set up, operates, and adjusts semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled CNC machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations.
  • Ability to run more than one unit simultaneously.
  • Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain, implement, and improve 5-S Principles.
  • Perform regular department housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Sustain production standards and quality.
  • Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
  • Performs daily and regular cleaning and light machine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.

ABOUT YOU:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience with CNC machining techniques and methods, experience setting up and running 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC Mills.
  • Experience using Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Haas CNC controls.
  • Working knowledge of operations including drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc., employing recognized tooling and procedures and where tolerances are close, but not difficult to maintain
  • Proficiently interpret in depth aerospace blueprints.
  • Self-motivated individual that needs minimal supervision to be successful.
  • Ability to read & follow verbal & written work instructions in the English language.
  • Requires the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications
  • Able to operate and adjust semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequence of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others.
  • Must be able to check parts for conformance to specifications.
