Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Panel Builder for our client. This job will be responsible for assembling and wiring custom electrical control panels used in manufacturing applications. This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently from blueprints and schematics.
What’s a Typical Day Like?
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) 
  • Assemble and wire custom electrical control panels from start to finish 
  • Install electrical components by design specifications 
  • Perform functional testing of completed units to verify proper operation 
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area always 
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors 
  • Work overtime as needed to meet production requirements
 
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
  • 5–10 years of prior control panel building or electrical wireman experience preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of electrical control components and panel assembly/fabrication techniques 
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials 
  • Must supply own hand tools: screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, micrometers, and gauges 
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship 
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work hard in a team environment 
  • Positive attitude — no drama; team players only 
  • Experience with UL 508A panel building standards 
  • Familiarity with PLC panels or industrial automation control systems 
  • Experience reading AutoCAD or SolidWorks electrical drawings 
  • Ability to move or lift to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Communication skills
