Job description

Installation Technician (Travel Required)

Pay: $22–$26+/Hour (Based on Experience)

We're hiring an Installation Technician to join a growing team installing specialized equipment and storage systems throughout the region. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys hands-on work, travel, and learning advanced equipment—including PLC-controlled systems.

What You'll Do

  • Install and service specialized equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment safely
  • Read and follow installation plans and work instructions
  • Assist with mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and field modifications
  • Work alongside an experienced installation team while developing leadership skills

What We're Looking For

  • Mechanical, construction, HVAC, or installation experience
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools
  • Basic welding experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and willingness to learn
  • Coachable with leadership potential
  • Self-starter who works well in a team environment
  • Experience with ROK2, Kardex, or Spacesaver systems is a plus
  • PLC experience is highly preferred and qualifies for higher starting pay

Preferred Certifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Forklift Certification

Travel & Schedule

  • Travel approximately 25–30%
  • Installation projects typically last 6–8 months
  • Trips range from 1–3 weeks at a time
  • If a job site is more than 2 hours from the office, technicians stay near the project during the week and return home on weekends
  • Average 50 hours per week
  • Company vehicle and equipment provided for work travel

Pay

  • $22/hour starting for candidates with PLC exposure
  • Up to $26+/hour depending on experience and qualifications
