Job description

Pet Paradise is looking for individuals with a passion for pets to organize and manage daytime play groups at our Peachtree City resort location.

Starting Rate: $13.00/hour ($0.50 increase 6 months from hire date, additional $0.50 increase on annual anniversary date)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF OUR PLAYTIME COORDINATOR INCLUDE:

  • Interacting with and monitoring dogs in play areas (play-yard and pool); using appropriate toys and tools to ensure a safe level of play
  • Maintain visual observation of dogs at all times and spread attention and play among all dogs in playgroup
  • Minimizing stress levels of all dogs in the playgroup and handling aggressive or unusual behaviors
  • Controlling levels of play by following procedures and instructions provided by management and utilizing proper dog handling techniques
  • Assisting the team with cleaning and play-yard maintenance duties

QUALIFICATIONS TO BE A PLAYTIME COORDINATOR:

  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills
  • True passion for working with animals
  • Ability to work in all-weather conditions (heat and humidity); will be exposed to pool water
  • Comfortable being around dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and grasping
  • Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
