Business Development Manager, PlayStation Plus
Would you like to be part of the team that makes PlayStation Plus the greatest game subscription service in the world? We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join PlayStation's subscription team. We're looking for a dynamic, highly motivated individual who will help identify and execute new strategic opportunities to enhance PlayStation's subscription offering.
In this role, you'll develop a deep understanding of the PlayStation business and broader industry trends in order to identify opportunities for new features, functionalities, and partnerships. You will be responsible for recommending enhancements that deliver mutual value for PlayStation, its partners, and its customers. This includes building and evaluating business cases, assessing the potential scale and impact of new initiatives, and determining their ability to support long-term organizational objectives. The Business Development Manager will help define key performance indicators, shape new strategies, and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution through to commercial launch. You'll collaborate with global teams across product, marketing, finance, growth, and experience, while also playing a key role in driving the culture and effectiveness of the wider Services team.
This role requires the ability to manage multiple complex projects with limited guidance, think critically, execute effectively, and approach opportunities with strong commercial acumen. Success in this position also depends on excellent storytelling skills and a proven ability to build strong partnerships across teams and divisions.
What You'll Do
  • Supporting on strategic commercial projects from business case to delivery.
  • Understanding and sharing industry trends helping to identify future opportunities and threats.
  • Understanding impact of new opportunities and how they fit with wider business goals.
  • Work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders to obtain strategic alignment, buy in and approval.
  • Play a key role in driving the culture and development of the global Service's team.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to propose, shape and lead new propositions and strategies throughout a complex, global organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in consumer tech related industries, executing and delivering on business growth strategies.
  • An understanding of commercial subscription and financial models.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, and a persistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to a quickly in a dynamic, changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent data analysis and quantitative skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours to support global business operations.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
