Job description

Torreon Golf Club, located in Show Low, AZ, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Player Assistant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fastpaced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Position Overview
Starters are responsible for welcoming players on the first tee, confirming tee times, communicating course information, and ensuring groups begin their rounds on schedule. Rangers monitor play throughout the course to maintain appropriate pace, assist players when needed, and address any issues that may arise during play.
Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Welcome members and guests at the first tee with a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Confirm tee times and ensure groups start play according to the tee sheet schedule
  • Communicate important course information including pace of play expectations, cart rules, and course conditions
  • Monitor pace of play throughout the course and assist groups in maintaining proper flow
  • Serve as an on-course resource for members and guests by answering questions and offering assistance
  • Report any course issues, maintenance concerns, or member needs to the golf shop staff
  • Help maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere on the golf course


Service Standards
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, professionalism, and a proactive approach to member service. Starters and Rangers represent the golf operation on the course and help ensure that every round at Torreon Golf Club meets the high standards expected by our membership.
Seasonal Scope
This is a seasonal position aligned with Torreon’s golf season and is an important part of supporting daily golf operations and member satisfaction.
