Job description

Overview
The Executive Director of Marketing is responsible for the development and execution of strategic marketing plans and overall brand management for Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe. This role oversees casino marketing, player development, database marketing, brand marketing and advertising, social media, entertainment, special events, and promotions.
The Executive Director is accountable for driving revenue, market share, and guest engagement while ensuring alignment with corporate policies and Nevada Gaming Commission regulations. This position also requires active participation in community organizations and local marketing boards to enhance the property's visibility and reputation.
The ideal candidate will maintain a strong on-property presence during weekends and peak business periods and will collaborate cross-functionally, including contributing to operational and financial presentations. This role must consistently deliver a high level of professional and personalized guest service aligned with the Company's core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity).
Responsibilities
  • Provide overall strategic marketing direction for Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe, including advertising, CRM, database marketing, digital and social media, promotions, entertainment, and sponsorships.
  • Lead and oversee Player Development, Database Marketing, Brand Marketing/Advertising, Social Media, Entertainment, Special Events, and Promotions.
  • Develop and implement measurable marketing strategies that drive awareness, visitation, and revenue across gaming, hotel, dining, and entertainment channels.
  • Strengthen and position the Golden Nugget brand to ensure differentiation and relevance with target audiences.
  • Oversee development and execution of all promotions, special events, and entertainment programming to maximize guest engagement and profitability.
  • Ensure best-in-class digital, social, and web presence to drive brand awareness, loyalty, and guest acquisition.
  • Oversee direct database marketing strategy, including segmentation, reinvestment, and campaign optimization to achieve player development and revenue goals.
  • Lead Player Development efforts to grow high-value guest relationships and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with Finance and other departments on strategic initiatives and presentations, including financial performance and forecasting.
  • Establish departmental goals, budgets, staffing plans, and performance metrics to ensure efficient operations and achievement of objectives.
  • Analyze marketing effectiveness, guest feedback, and competitive trends; adjust strategies accordingly to maximize ROI.
  • Approve and evaluate comp policies, campaigns, and all marketing expenditures to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Maintain an active presence on the casino floor, particularly during weekends and peak periods, to engage with guests and team members.
  • Represent the property in community outreach efforts, including participation on local boards and at key events.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team; provide coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service standards are upheld across all marketing-driven interactions and experiences.

  • Minimum age of 21 years old.

Bachelor's degree in marketing or advertising required. Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of documented success in the gaming industry is required.
