What does a platform development manager do?

A Platform Development Manager oversees the design, development, and maintenance of technology platforms within an organization. They coordinate teams of engineers and developers, manage project timelines, and ensure the platform meets business objectives and user needs. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to set technical direction, integrating new technologies, and maintaining platform scalability and security. In this key leadership role, you'll cultivate and strengthen relationships with Select Employee Groups (SEGs), businesses, associations, nonprofit organizations, and community partners, while supporting the continued growth of our Business Banking and Cannabis Banking portfolios.
As a leader, you'll guide and develop a high-performing Business Development team, creating new opportunities that enhance member value and drive sustainable growth. In addition, this role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align growth initiatives, support strategic projects, and evaluate performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Balancing external relationship development with internal leadership responsibilities, the Business Development Manager plays a critical role in advancing organizational objectives, strengthening community partnerships, and delivering long-term value to both members and the Credit Union.
