Job Details:
- Physician Assistant role within the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, partnering closely with a reputable plastic surgeon
- Practice within both ambulatory and OR intraoperative settings
- Ambulatory and outpatient responsibilities include postoperative follow-up appointments and office-based procedures
- Intraoperative first assist responsibilities include both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, with a primary focus on breast reduction surgery and post-bariatric body contouring
- Limited inpatient rounding may be included
- Outpatient practice locations include Norwich and the Southeastern Connecticut shoreline
- Intraoperative work performed at a local hospital facility
- Monday through Friday schedule with no call or weekend requirements
- Consistent OR time provided
- Continual opportunities for growth and advancement within an academic plastic surgery department
- Reimbursement available for CME, professional society membership, licensure, and malpractice
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Master's program required
- Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in the state of Connecticut
- Certification as a Physician Assistant required
- Plastic surgery experience highly preferred
- Surgical experience preferred
- Prior experience as a PA highly preferred
