Job description

2nd Shift Production Supervisor – Injection Molding
Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–11:15 PM

Elyria Plastic Products (EPP) is looking for an experienced 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with a strong background in plastic injection molding and processing to join our team.

If you're a hands-on leader who knows injection molding and would rather be on the production floor solving problems than sitting behind a desk, we want to talk to you.

This is a working supervisor position. You'll spend your shift on the floor working directly with our production team, troubleshooting issues, maintaining production flow, supporting quality, and helping employees succeed.

Why Join EPP?
  • We offer highly competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications, along with relocation assistance for the right candidate

  • Stable, established company with 40 years of industry experience

  • Excellent benefits after 60 days

  • Medical insurance with HSA option

  • Dental & vision insurance

  • 401(k) with Company Match

  • Short-term disability

  • Company-paid life insurance

  • Supplemental insurance options

  • Paid time off and company-paid holidays after 90 days

  • An opportunity to make a direct impact on production, quality, and team performance

About EPP

Elyria Plastic Products is a contract manufacturer specializing in custom injection molding, mold making, and precision machining. For 40 years, we've built our reputation on quality, innovation, reliability, and getting the job done right.

We're more than a plastic parts manufacturer. Our capabilities include full-service mold making and precision machining, allowing us to provide our customers with complete manufacturing solutions.

At EPP, we value craftsmanship, technology, accountability, and—most importantly—our people.

What You'll Do

As our 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for keeping production running safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. This is an active leadership role with responsibility for approximately 10–20 production employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and support production employees throughout the shift

  • Review production schedules and prioritize work accordingly

  • Monitor production, quality, scrap, and efficiency

  • Troubleshoot injection molding and production issues in real time

  • Work alongside operators and assist with setups, material handling, and production needs when necessary

  • Perform frequent quality checks and address issues before they become larger problems

  • Assign employees to machines and manage staffing needs

  • Train, coach, and develop production employees

  • Address employee concerns and performance issues

  • Identify opportunities to improve production methods, efficiency, equipment performance, and quality

  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Production, Management, and other departments to resolve problems

  • Ensure the production area remains organized, clean, and safe

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Previous plastic injection molding and processing experience

  • Previous manufacturing supervisory or leadership experience

  • Strong understanding of production processes and troubleshooting

  • Ability to read and understand production schedules and specifications

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Willingness to be hands-on and actively involved on the production floor

The ideal candidate is someone who understands injection molding, knows how to troubleshoot problems, can hold a team accountable, and isn't afraid to jump in and help when production needs it.

The Bottom Line

We're looking for a leader—not someone who simply watches the clock and fills out paperwork.

If you have injection molding experience, know how to lead a production team, and take pride in keeping a manufacturing operation running smoothly, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today and join a company where your experience, leadership, and ideas can make a difference.
