Job description

Manufacturing Material Handler - Lead

MANUFACTURING MATERIAL HANDLER - LEAD, HIRING IMMEDIATELY, Bridgeview IL

Minimum 2-3 yrs prior forklift experience

Logistics Warehouse leadership experience

Compensation: Pay Range $26.71- $28.59 per hour - paid weekly

Material Handler Lead - Multiple Shifts

This position will be cross functional to the Bridgeview location as the business need dictates.

Shift: Days 7AM - 7PM On a 2-2-3 schedule

Material Handler Lead I

Summary: Safely and effectively lead shift materials team to ensure product flow is effectively distributed throughout the plant and local Distribution Centers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for directing the work assignments of a team of lift truck operators and carrier drivers
  • Drives a culture of safe work practices
  • Drive team oriented environment
  • Execute standard work to ensure production materials are replenished to ensure continuous operations
  • Effectively communicate daily priorities (daily meetings, one on one engagements, Tier Meetings, etc.)
  • Coordinate/collaborate warehouse operations with all departments.
  • Perform daily audits (Safety, warehouse, forklifts, line inventories, etc.)
  • Provide supervisory support, as needed
  • Provide forklift training for new hires and re-certifications as needed.
  • Support the Inventory Team as needed.
  • Supports the receipt of railcar/bulk truck material.
  • Performs other tasks as directed.

Requirements:

  • Previous logistics warehouse leadership experience required
  • WMS software experience required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented, strong organizational, math and problem solving skills
  • Must be able pass the LTO training and testing
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.)
  • Bilingual communication skills preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
