Shape everyday packaging — one setup at a time

Picture your shift at Pretium Packaging: you clock in, sync up with the outgoing crew, and review how the injection molding cells have been running. You prepare the next production run — dialing in parameters, performing machine changeovers and start-ups, and verifying materials are staged. As parts come off the line, you watch the process like a hawk, making routine adjustments that keep quality high and output steady. All the while, you’re following safety rules, wearing your PPE, and keeping the cell spotless.

What you’ll do

  • Execute machine changeovers, start-ups, and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Handoff seamlessly: review machine performance and conditions with the previous shift.
  • Keep machines running efficiently; perform routine adjustments and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Flag and report equipment concerns, mechanical issues, or maintenance needs right away.
Quality is built in
  • Perform inspections and checks to confirm parts meet specifications.
  • Log process tweaks, machine adjustments, and any quality issues you find.
  • Spot defects early and correct the process to protect production.

Materials, housekeeping, and safety
  • Monitor and maintain raw material levels to prevent shortages.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris; uphold housekeeping standards.

Food safety and documentation
  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure products meet food safety and quality requirements.

  • Restore product contact surfaces to sanitary condition after maintenance or production activities.
  • Accurately complete all required food safety and quality documentation.
  • Immediately report any food safety, quality, or process concerns to supervision.

Responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.

Be a flexible team player
  • Work to plant job specifications and task requirements.
  • Support overtime, plant shutdowns, and special projects as needed.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions; take on additional duties as assigned.

  • Comfort following written instructions, procedures, and production specs.
Preferred extras
  • Experience in plastics manufacturing and/or the packaging industry.
