Location: [Dallas, TX]
Pay: $26–$34 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:

  • 2nd shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45 p.m.–11:05 p.m.
  • 3rd shift: Monday–Friday, 10:45 p.m.–7:05 a.m.
  • Occasional Saturdays based on production needs

Babich & Associates is recruiting Process Technicians for a confidential plastic injection molding manufacturer. This position supports production by verifying molding processes, troubleshooting process-related problems, reducing scrap, and helping ensure consistent part quality.

The right candidate will have hands-on plastic injection molding experience and understand what must happen between a mold change and an approved production run.

What You’ll Do

  • Verify startup conditions following mold, material, or insert changes
  • Complete first-piece and process-monitoring checks
  • Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and help implement corrective action
  • Respond to operator questions involving product quality and process performance
  • Confirm part weights, cycle times, and bill-of-material information
  • Assist with robot end-of-arm tooling, program selection, and cam settings
  • Set up decorating or secondary-processing equipment when needed
  • Identify machine or tooling problems and initiate repair requests
  • Help reduce scrap and improve process consistency
  • Communicate production concerns during shift handoffs
  • Work closely with die setters, supervisors, operators, and process engineers

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous plastic injection molding experience
  • Ability to understand molding processes, production documentation, and operating instructions
  • Experience with first-piece approval or startup verification preferred
  • Familiarity with robotics or automated molding equipment is helpful
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to perform basic math, including percentages and proportions
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime or occasional Saturdays
