Process Technician | Salt Lake City, UT


We are seeking a motivated and skilled Process Technician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, machine troubleshooting, and process optimization. The Process Technician will help maintain efficient production operations, improve product quality, and support continuous improvement efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to ensure efficient production.

• Identify molding defects and make process adjustments to improve product quality and reduce scrap.

• Support machine startup, shutdown, maintenance, and repair activities.

• Utilize scientific molding principles to establish, document, and maintain process parameters.

• Assist with mold changes, machine setups, and production changeovers.

• Collaborate with production, maintenance, tooling, and leadership teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

• Monitor process performance and recommend improvements that increase productivity and equipment reliability.

• Maintain accurate production records and process documentation.

• Follow all safety, quality, and ISO standards while supporting daily production goals.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product consistency.


Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in injection molding, plastics manufacturing, machine maintenance, or a related manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Experience troubleshooting injection molding processes and identifying root causes of production defects.

• Knowledge of scientific molding techniques and process optimization.

• Ability to use measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools.

• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills, including control circuits.

• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

• Forklift certification or willingness to become certified preferred.

• Experience working with chilled water systems is a plus.

• Ability to maintain quality standards while meeting production and efficiency goals.


Pay

$24.00 per hour


Schedule

Monday–Friday | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
