Job description

Toolmaker - Injection Molding

Responsibilities:
  • Full understanding of all aspects of injection molding tooling; hot runner systems, cooling systems, ejection, etc.
  • Experience in troubleshooting injection molding tooling.
  • Maintenance and repair of tooling including fabricating details and spotting tool.
  • Use of traditional metal fabrication equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
  • Use of CNC equipment for component fabrication.
  • Use of precision measurement devices
  • Understand proper tolerance of components for injection molding, punching plastic parts, etc.
  • Basic lifting amp; rigging principles and practices.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated tool building, maintenance, and repair experience.
  • Able to read machine prints and determine proper equipment required to fabricate the desired item.
  • Ability to take initiative, manage multiple tasks, and welcoming to continuous improvement and change.
  • Strong mechanical mindset and understanding of industrial systems, electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic troubleshooting,
  • Experience with injection molding and/or thermoforming plastics preferred.
  • Experience working in a scheduled maintenance environment.
  • Ability to read, write, email, and have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen.
  • Able to use hand tools, lift 50lbs, bend, reach, squat, sit, stand, and utilize ladders.
