Job description

LOCATION: Newburyport, MA

Position Overview
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operators/Inspectors. No experience is required—we are willing to train entry-level candidates!

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, sorting, and weighing molded plastic parts to ensure they meet customer specifications. You will support injection molding operations as well as secondary processes. Duties amp; Essential Job Functions
  • Operate injection molding machines according to specific MOM (Method of Manufacture) instructions when required

  • Accurately record molded part quantities on job travelers and enter data into Epicor

  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure conformance to specifications

  • Identify, document, and remove nonconforming products by defect type per part specifications

  • Notify the Production Supervisor of excessive defects or quality concerns

  • Perform in-process operations such as trimming, packing, and other secondary tasks per MOM instructions

  • Complete post-molding operations as required

  • Count, weigh, and record accepted and rejected parts

  • Read and interpret job travelers to determine inspection specifications and requirements

  • Complete documentation related to rework and nonconforming materials

  • Report any quality or mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor or Mold Technician


Other Functions amp; Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address issues

  • Work overtime as needed to meet production demands

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • No prior experience required—training will be provided

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy

  • Strong attention to detail and quality
