Job description

Job Purpose

Responsible for setting up mold(s) in injection molding machines.

Essential Functions

  1. Follow set-up priorities as per the daily schedule.

  2. Install and remove machine injection molds.

  3. Install and remove auxiliary equipment on presses.

  4. Safely operate an overhead crane.

  5. Ensure all core switches and safeties are functioning properly.

  6. Clean molds and perform basic maintenance and lubrication.

  7. Store molds in designated areas

  8. Follow mold tagging procedures.

  9. Required to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.

  10. Capable of lifting, moving, pushing and/or pulling up to 55 lbs.

  11. Other responsibilities generally expected of this position in our industry.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. May occasionally be required to safely operate a sit-down forklift.

  2. Assist process technicians when necessary.

  3. Provide training to new mold set-up technicians.

  4. Participate in ISO 14001:2015 awareness meetings.

  5. Participate in IATF 16949:2016 awareness meetings.

  6. Participate in safety rules and regulations awareness meetings.

Education, Experience and Competencies

  1. High School Diploma is preferred.

  2. Relevant or mechanical experience is preferred.

  3. Moderate verbal, written and computer skills

  4. Good interpersonal skills

  5. Must be levelheaded and able work with others.

You should be proficient in:

  • Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
  • Injection Molding Experience
