Mold Maker (Injection Molding) - PSR82224

Pay: $80,000 - 120,000/ Year + Full Benefits

Industry: Custom Plastic Injection Molding

Schedule: Full-time / First Shift / Monday - Friday

We are seeking a skilled Technical Mold Maker to join a dynamic team for a custom plastic injection molding company based in the eastern region of Washington State. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining high-precision injection molds used in the production of various plastic components. This role involves collaboration with design engineers, quality control teams, and production staff to ensure that molds meet specifications. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive fabrication, and assemble injection molds according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Safely operate various CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and drills. Additional experience using EDM machinery is a plus.
  • Perform routine maintenance, repair, and modifications on existing molds to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and refine mold designs for new products.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to verify mold dimensions and ensure accuracy as well as quality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold performance and production defects.
  • Maintain detailed records of mold maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve mold-making processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Injection Mold Maker or in a similar role.
  • Prior experience using MasterCAM or SolidWorks software is a plus!
  • Strong understanding of injection molding processes and materials involved.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as lift or maneuver heavy mold components up to 60 lbs.
