Job description

Company: A worldwide provider of injection molding products serving a diverse marketplace is looking for a Plastics Injection Mold “Mold Maker”.

Essential Functions: Design/Build/Repair tooling including molds, fixtures, jigs, and equipment for the production and engineering departments. Will provide technical knowledge on fixture and tooling repairs, utilize problem solving skills to properly repair tools and fixtures, and work with designers, technicians, engineers, and production personnel.

Responsible for the following duties:

  • Design/Build/Repair molds, tools, and tooling keeping costs in-line with requirements.
  • Repair, maintain, and modify any molds, fixtures, machines, tools, and tooling for the production departments
  • Work with prints, sketches, electronic drawings, solid models, and/ or verbal instructions.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments and advances made within Injection Molding trade.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years experience as Mold Maker
  • Apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
  • Capable of operating manual and cnc tool room equipment
  • Possess basic welding skills
  • Ability to select materials for projects assigned
  • Able to perform Machinist job functions
  • Experience with Mold/Tool Design
