The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clarkson University, https://www.clarkson.edu/academics/engineering/chemical-biomolecular- engineering, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates must have an outstanding record of accomplishment and have an interest in any one of the following areas:

Semiconductor processing (e.g., chemical mechanical planarization, nanotechnology)

Energy & Environment (e.g., renewables, biofuels, electrical energy storage, CO2 sequestration/conversion, water treatment and membranes)

Process Engineering (e.g., AI, optimization, process systems, plasma and electrochemistry)

Responsibilities

Lead and teach engineering courses that satisfy the department's teaching mission. Contribute expertise in research that complements the department's strategic initiatives in process systems engineering, biomaterials, plasma engineering, electrochemistry, energy and semiconductor processing. Advise students on their career paths. Be willing to contribute and lead departmental and university committees. Cultivate a safe, respectful environment for student achievement. Assist with other projects, administrative duties, and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimal Qualifications: A PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related fieldPreferred Qualifications: A Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related fields, including a strong publication record and interest in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.
