Job description

The Plant Superintendent supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all phases of plant operation. This position will oversee Plant operations schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality meet specifications. The Superintendent will ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met adhering to approved budgets per corporate direction. Extensive knowledge of department processes is required in this position. Superintendent will be responsible for the continuous improvement and overall condition of safety, food safety and quality, and efficiency throughout every department.

Key Job Duties:

  • Oversight of all safety, food safety and quality, and production.
  • Achieve production goals and schedules
  • Assist in organizing and managing day-to-day activities for plant operations
  • Constant monitoring of work instructions, processes, and equipment to continually improve overall efficiency and costs throughout the department
  • Implement continuous improvements for increased productivity and scrap reduction
  • maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Enforce all Grassland Dairy, Inc Safety Policies, SQF Programs, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), Work Instructions, and Operating Procedures
  • Provide and maintain a high level of morale and motivation throughout the plant

Summary of Pay:

Compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 to $83,200 based on education, experience, and relevant qualifications will be taken into consideration.
