About the role
The Plant Manager is responsible for planning, directing, or coordinating the work activities in the factory. This includes making the necessary resources for manufacturing products, with quality and on-time delivery being key factors for customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of industrial organization with quality and on-time delivery a top priority.
  • Develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.
  • Review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.
  • Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems and work towards continuous improvement in all areas.
  • Complete required employee evaluations for subordinates in a timely manner in order to communicate successes, job-skill deficiencies, and expectations necessary for employment and advancement within the company.
  • Hiring, training, and developing a qualified staff for the manufacture of products that meet production requirements and quality standards.
  • Decisions and directives to reporting supervisors regarding disciplining or terminating personnel.
