What You'll Do
We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in running an efficient, safe, and high-quality operation while supporting drivers, and customers. As Plant Manager reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll own the full operation of your plant - production, people, equipment, and profitability. Your day-to-day will include:
  • Manage operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production
  • Supervise and support a team of 5-15 ready-mix drivers
  • Coordinate daily schedules and loads with dispatch
  • Complete all required paperwork and administrative duties including, but not limited to, payroll, invoice approvals, ticketing, and managing inventory with the use of computers, tablets, or cell phones to ensure proper accounting and timekeeping practices are executed (pre-trip inspections, time reporting, truck reports, trip tickets, etc.)
  • Oversee plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and company procedures
  • Maintain quality control standards for concrete production
  • Work with state certified mix designs and testing requirements
  • Monitor inventory, materials, and production efficiency
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ACI Certification and a working knowledge of the various ACI tests or willingness to acquire required
  • PA DOT technician certification, or willingness to acquire required
  • Understand mix design differences and be able to visually inspect for proper materials, verify the load size to the ticket, check proper slump, and be able to make adjustments
  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Knowledge of plant operations, batching systems, and equipment maintenance
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent communications skills and understand instructions in both written and verbal forms
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to coordinate repairs
  • Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
  • Ability to lift/lower/carry over 50 pounds

A note on schedule: This role requires extended hours and an irregular schedule to keep the plant running when our customers need us most.
