Job description

Hood Container Corporation is growing our sales team to support corrugated business & we’re looking for a collaborative Sales Manager to team to lead our growing box plant in Tampa, Florida.

 

As a Sales Manager you will be the key liaison between your sales force and the business to optimize corrugated sales.  You will partner with the Areas Sales Manager & General Manager to align on local sales strategy.  You will lead a team of Account Executives’ by connecting everyone to how they support the local strategy through monthly, quarterly, & annual goals, help remove barriers for internal & external customers, and provide creative solutions to help each manage & grow their sales portfolio.  

To be successful, the Sales Manager will need strong leadership skills with industry knowledge to support the growth of the business & their team! 

How You Will Contribute: 

  • Develop & execute sales strategy to support business objectives. 
  • Lead team of Account Executives including goal setting, skills development, and performance management. 
  • Collaborate with plant leadership to develop and implement sales business objectives and plans. 
  • Align sales strategy with business needs and collaborate with sales team to drive sales, grow market share, and increase customer satisfaction. 
  • Interact and proactively communicate with all levels of leadership across the company and enforce communication between all departments in the plant to increase efficiency. 
  • Prepare annual sales budget forecasts. 
  • Prospect for new, profitable accounts and service existing accounts through regular contact. 

What it Takes: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field.  
  • Experience as a Sales Rep or Account Executive generating sales for a manufacturing site. 
  • Experience in a Management Role within a manufacturing company. 
  • Experience in the Corrugated Industry or Packaging Industry preferred. 
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking skills to problem solve and make informed business decisions. 
  • Driven mindset with strong negotiation and persuasion skills. 
  • Demonstration of dynamic communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with all types of personalities. 
  • Adaptability is key as you will need to navigate and demonstrate flexibility in an environment that can be ambiguous and uncertain.
