About the role

The Services Specialist is a customer-facing, consultative role responsible for shaping and driving IT services opportunities across infrastructure, networking, data center, and emerging AI/automation programs.

This role partners closely with Sales, Service Designers, Commercial Finance, and Delivery leadership to create compelling, commercially aligned service solutions that meet customer business outcomes and strengthen Computacenter's strategic position. The Services Specialist acts as the bridge between customer requirements and Computacenter's delivery capability and translating needs into structured service offerings, solution components, and clear commercial constructs.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop service solutions that align customer requirements with Computacenter's delivery capabilities, commercial goals, and operational feasibility.
  • Shape and influence bid strategy by defining clear service approaches and delivery models that strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Maintain strong internal collaboration with business leaders and practice teams while modeling Computacenter's mission, Winning Together values.
  • Drive IT services opportunities end to end, engaging the right technical, commercial, and delivery experts at the right time to progress and win deals.
  • Lead pre-sales coordination with Technical Solution Architects, Service Designers, and delivery teams to ensure solution clarity and integrity.
  • Participate in customer discovery and strategy sessions to validate requirements, articulate Computacenter's value, and frame desired business outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with costing, finance, and delivery teams to refine assumptions, validate resource models, and produce commercially sound proposals and quotes.
  • Support commercial negotiations by identifying risks, defining dependencies, documenting assumptions, and shaping contractual structures that protect margin and delivery success.
  • Engage customers consultatively, clearly articulating value, ROI, delivery methodology, commercial constructs, and expected business impact.
  • Lead or participate in service definition workshops to shape service descriptions, delivery models and support operational artifacts such as WBS, RACI, workflows.
  • Advise peers, sales teams, and leaders on evolving service capabilities, customer needs, and emerging technology trends.
  • Champion seamless handoff from sales to delivery
  • Uphold pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and structured documentation to ensure visibility, governance, and predictable business planning.

What you have

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in work experience.
  • 5-7 years' experience selling IT services with a proven track record of success. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience specifically in selling IT services.
  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure technologies (e.g. Hybrid cloud, Networks, Cloud, Modern Operations)
  • Technical and process certifications is a plus 
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Experience with IT service delivery lifecycle and methodologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of IT trends and business needs.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client engagements/relationships.
  • Ability to design in-depth, complex technical professional services solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving capability with ability to untangle ambiguous requirements and design structured solutions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (build and analyze pivot tables), PowerPoint (create/edit visuals), Visio/Lucid (build workflows and architectures)
