Strategic Account Director

Job description

We've spent 35+ years earning trust in some of the most regulated industries on the planet — pharma, biotech, medical devices. That reputation wasn't built by accident. It was built by people who take compliance seriously, show up as partners, and actually know what they're talking about.
Now we're looking for someone to help us grow it.
The role: As Director of Strategic Accounts, you'll own the full sales cycle — from building a qualified pipeline to closing complex deals to transitioning new clients to our delivery teams. You'll be working across our CQV, CSV, temperature mapping, and digital validation service lines, so you'll need a real understanding of FDA-regulated environments. This isn’t an activity‑based calling role; it’s a relationship‑driven commercial position. Our clients are navigating tight timelines, regulatory pressure, and high stakes. You'll need to understand their world.
What you'll be doing:
  • Building and executing account strategies with both short- and long-term targets
  • Managing a healthy pipeline with real CRM discipline — not just optimism
  • Opening doors at pharma, biotech, and medical device companies through targeted outreach, discovery, and genuine relationship building
  • Partnering with our Divisional Directors to negotiate MSAs, SOWs, and proposals
  • Staying sharp on regulatory changes and competitive dynamics so your positioning actually resonates
  • Representing PV at industry events and conferences
What we're looking for: 5+ years of B2B sales in life sciences — ideally with exposure to CQV, validation, or GMP-related services. You don't need to be a validation engineer, but you do need to be curious enough to learn the technical side and credible enough to hold a conversation with a Director of Quality. You're self-directed, organized, and you close.
A bachelor's in life sciences, engineering, or business is preferred, but if you've spent years working in or selling into regulated industries, we want to hear from you.
Why PV: We're 100% employee-owned — which means when PV grows, you grow. We're not a revolving door. We invest in our people and expect them to invest back.
This role reports to the VP of Commercial and comes with domestic travel (and potentially some international).
If you've been selling into the life sciences space and want to work somewhere that actually does the work it promises — let's talk.
