Job description

Equipment Operator – Sand Plant Operations
Location: New Castle, VA
Pay: Starting at $22.50/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some weekends based on production needs)
Employment Type: Direct Hire

This position supports daily sand plant production by operating heavy equipment, assisting with plant operations, and helping maintain equipment and work areas.
Candidates should have prior equipment experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work safely in an outdoor industrial environment.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, dozers, articulated haul trucks, and water trucks
  • Assist with daily plant and pit operations, including setup, adjustments, and material handling
  • Perform routine equipment inspections, lubrication, and basic maintenance
  • Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
  • Keep work areas clean and safe while supporting production goals
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices
  • Work occasional weekends or extended hours based on production needs
