Job description

Truck Driver - System Operator 

Must have a CDL A with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement.

The TD-TT's must be qualified to perform fuel servicing operations (refuel/defuel) by mobile fuel servicing equipment/trucks, truck operated mobile pantograph, hose sets or carts, and fixed direct fuel servicing systems (hydrants). A TD-TT's must perform deadman operations and may be trained to perform other duties, such as hot refueling fire watch, nozzle opeator, or refueling director tasks, within a pit operation. Drivers must be trained in the appropriate use of radio procedures.

TD-TT's must pass a contractor administered base and flightline familiarization test, practical equipment/facility competency tests, and must be certified, by the contractor, as qualified, and the individual's training record updated prior to the unsupervised operation of any fuel, and defueling servicing equipment. The contractor must recertify personnel annually or as required. TD-TT's must be familiar with safety regulations applicable to aviation and ground fuel servicing operations on and around the airfield and supported activities. Unless specifically directed by the contracting officer, the contractor is not responsible for the staffing of the fire watch, nozzle operator, or refueling director positions. The squadron or organizational unit receiving fuel services must remain responsible for providing required staffing, other than deadman operator.
