KBR is looking for a LEAD PIPING STRESS ENGINEER under broad direction, functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations regarding pipe stress analysis and pipe engineering. Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and designers of the organization. Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for piping stress analysis and pipe engineering. Job roles contribute directly to value creation.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Work may be required to be performed at client sites and may require exposure to ambient temperature extremes. Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire-retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots. Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs. frequently, etc. Work may require moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs. May require walking the plant property.
