Senior Systems Analyst - Hexagon SmartPlant Materials
Employment Type: Contract
Work Location: Remote (Candidates must be located within the United States)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst - Hexagon SmartPlant Materials to lead the development, enhancement, and support of SmartPlant Materials solutions and related interfaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Hexagon SmartPlant Materials, JavaScript, and PL/SQL, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Lead the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of SmartPlant Materials solutions and integrations.
  • Collaborate with Change and Release Management teams to support successful solution delivery throughout the release lifecycle.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Apply Agile methodologies and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive project success.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to design and implement new capabilities and enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service quality, reliability, efficiency, and overall system performance.
  • Support production environments by troubleshooting incidents, resolving issues, and maintaining service levels.
  • Participate in rotational on-call support as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience configuring and supporting Hexagon SmartPlant Materials solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in custom software development across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL and JavaScript.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Experience designing and supporting enterprise integrations and interfaces.
  • Knowledge of release management and production support processes.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods using a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders via phone, video conferencing, and in-person meetings as needed.
