Key responsibilities
  • Pipe installation:
    Position pipes in trenches, connect them according to plans, and seal joints using cement, glue, or welding equipment.
  • Alignment and grade:
    Use tools like grade rods, lasers, and levels to ensure pipes are correctly aligned and sloped to specifications.
  • Equipment operation:
    Operate mechanized equipment like trenchers, backhoes, and rollers, as well as hand and power tools.
  • Maintenance and repair:
    Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement and perform repairs on pipe systems.
  • Safety compliance:
    Follow safety regulations, blueprints, and company policies, and adhere to policies for utility safety.
