Job description

We are seeking experienced Pipe Welders for an industrial shutdown project in Caldwell, TX. Candidates must have strong MIG and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) experience and be able to test in positions up to 6G.

Responsibilities

  • Perform pipe welding using MIG and Flux-Cored (FCAW) processes.
  • Weld pipe in multiple positions, including vertical, overhead, and 6G.
  • Read and follow welding procedures, drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Prepare pipe and joints for welding.
  • Set up and operate welding machines and equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections and maintain weld quality standards.
  • Grind, clean, and prepare weld areas as needed.
  • Follow WPS procedures, project specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with pipefitters, supervisors, and other craft personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

  • MUST have MIG and Flux/FCAW welding experience.
  • Must be able to test up to 6G.
  • Previous refinery, petrochemical, industrial, or shutdown experience preferred.
  • Ability to read welding procedures, drawings, and weld symbols.
  • Must be able to pass the required weld test.
  • Strong understanding of welding safety and quality requirements.
  • Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts during the shutdown.
